DevOps Developer

Responsibilities and Duties

In general you will be responsible for maintaining a development and production cloud deployments on multiple platforms which includes GKE, Azure, AWS and bare metal.

  • Maintain the cloud deployments with an 99.999% uptime
  • Have some experience deploying apps on Kubernetes
  • Change management, patches, software updates etc on a recurring basis
  • Develop cloud automation tools in bash, python, our internal cloud management application, and other open source tools
  • Take ownership of your code
  • Be a self starter / self learner
  • Improve the team as an active participant in our culture (mentorship, interviewing and new initiatives).

Qualifications and Skills

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related technical field – devOps experience is a must!
  • Good oral and written English language skills
  • Can hit the ground running – fast learner that can become familiar with what we do and start contributing quickly.
  • Working within an agile team to collaboratively influence the solutions we create and the processes we use as a technical function.
  • [3-5] years of work-related proven full time experience with software engineering or operations
  • [4+] years experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
  • Other experience with devOps technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Teriform, etc.

Junior Golang Stack Developer Role

Entry level but very enthusiastic Golang Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

In general you will be responsible for building a Cloud Native stack mostly coded in Golang.

  • Paid software development experience a must (unpaid internships do not count)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Golang, and how to build network services using the Go stack and common libraries.
  • Show experience using a database with Golang.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL, and experience using MySQL, Postgresql or an equivalent modern backend SQL system. Experience from school is acceptable.
  • Experience using session management technologies and a key value or similar storage system such as Redis a plus but not required.
  • Be prepared to explain how services can be designed to scale horizontally.
  • Improve the team as an active participant in our culture (mentorship, interviewing and new initiatives).
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and a drive to move their career and technical knowledge forward quickly. Be prepared to show how you can learn fast.

  • Answer support contacts as they come in and log tickets in the ticketing system

Senior Golang Stack Developer Role

An experienced and enthusiastic Golang Engineer to join our team remotely.

Responsibilities and Duties

In general you will be responsible for building a Cloud Native stack mostly coded in Golang.

  • Intermediate+ to advanced knowledge of Golang, and how to build network services using the Go stack and common libraries
  • Strong understanding of core technologies such as TLS, HTTPS router design, back end database access using pgsql or pgx.
  • Proven experience building scalable, durable cloud services.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, and experience using MySQL, Postgresql or an equivalent modern backend SQL system
  • Experience using session management technologies and a key value or similar storage system such as Redis.
  • Be prepared to explain how services can be designed to scale horizontally. Know how to build a microservice which can scale across many nodes.
  • Some understanding of performance enhancing technologies is important - such as a caching architecture for API calls. Some experience in implementing a caching architecture is a great plus.

  • The desire to work with junior engineers and help these junior engineers become better software engineers. Experience mentioned junior engineers desired.
